“20 to 30”

How long had you been a smoker?
“30 years”

“20 years ago, with a prescription drug. 3½ years ago with patches and nicotine spray.”

What led you to begin smoking again?
“First time, I didn’t like the side effects from the drug.
Second time, had a death in the family and I couldn’t cope so I reached for a ciggy.”

“Yes I tried the nicotine replacement and the champax tablets. Champax about 5 years ago nicotine replacement before that.”

“Just being around friends that smoke and when having a drink.

“I had tried other things and I didn’t want to do nicotine replacement again as they still contain nicotine and I wanted to be free of it.”

How are the sessions conducted?

I coach my clients to success online. I use Zoom.

Some have asked if hypnosis or hypnotherapy are as effective online or virtually or by phone as opposed to in person.  The answer is… YES!. 

At the hands of a qualified hypnotherapist, hypnotherapy is just as effective when using video conferencing software (such Zoom) or the phone.

What happens during a “Stop Smoking” Hypnosis Session?

One of the most common things that people will want to know when they enquire about using hypnosis in order to stop smoking is; What happens during the “stop smoking” hypnosis session?

Well, our “Stop Smoking” session is split into two.

The first part of the session involves finding out about your smoking habit and your reasons for stopping smoking. This is important because it allows me during the hypnosis part of the session to give you suggestions that are in tune with you becoming a non-smoker. Basically I want to get across to your unconscious mind during the hypnosis part of the session that you are not giving something up but actually bringing into your life so many wonderful benefits.

Once I have this information, I then explain what hypnosis is and what it feels like for most people.

Will I put on weight?

This is a common concern so I build suggestions in to deal with this.

What if I can’t be hypnotised?

The beauty of treating smokers is that smokers do already know how to be hypnotised, because that’s why they’re smoking. Originally you were hypnotised by the cigarettes and what we need to do is keep you out of hypnosis – as far as cigarettes are concerned!
